James is a rock band that originated in Manchester in 1982. They were very popular in the 1990s, with four singles and nine albums reaching the top 10 charts in the UK. Some of their most well-known songs include "Come Home", "Sit Down", "She's a Star", and "Laid", which was also popular on American college radio. After the lead singer, Tim Booth, left the band in 2001, they became inactive, but reunited in January 2007. Since then, they have produced seven more albums, and live performances have remained a significant part of their work. As of 2010, they had sold more than 25 million albums worldwide.
