Little Big Town is a country music group hailing from Homewood, Alabama, established in 1998. The band has retained its original lineup: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman (previously known as Roads), Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook. Known for their distinctive four-part vocal harmonies, each member alternately takes the lead in songs.
Initially signed to Mercury Nashville Records, their debut had no notable singles or albums. Their first album, "Little Big Town," came out under Monument Records in 2002, leading to modest success. In 2005, they joined Equity Music Group, where they released "The Road to Here," earning platinum status from the RIAA. Their third album, "A Place to Land," was initially released through Equity and later re-issued by Capitol Nashville following Equity's closure in 2008. Subsequently, they released six more albums with Capitol: "The Reason Why" (2010), "Tornado" (2012), "Pain Killer" (2014), "The Breaker" (2017), "Nightfall" (2020), and "Mr. Sun" (2022).
The group has produced 24 singles that have charted on Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay. This includes No. 1 singles like "Pontoon" and "Better Man," along with top 10 hits such as "Boondocks," "Bring It On Home," "Little White Church," "Tornado," "Day Drinking," and "Girl Crush."
