Her family seemed to create a great environment to foster her musical creativity, as she comes from a family of musicians and actors. As is the case with many young stars today, Billie Eilish was noticed online through her SoundCloud account. She posted her single, “Ocean Eyes,” to the platform and became an instant hit.

She was then signed to Interscope Records and released the music video to “Ocean Eyes.” She released a few more songs, some of which were co-written with her brother, Finneas, and some of which she wrote independently. Her work is described as a reflection of what many young people feel, but can't express.
